Sequencer is a group problem solving exercise, where participants need to replicate a diagram by constructing pieces of plywood. The tabletop version of Sequencer is made from durable and lightweight plywood, an ideal exercise for travelling / importing as it comes with its own carry case for portability.
It requires close cooperation, strong leadership and excellent communication skills between members, as well as a clear delegation of team roles. Following the initial construction period the group then have to reassemble the pieces against the clock - can they produce sufficient process improvement from construction to achieve the challenging time trial?
The exercise is also known as Planks, Gridlock, Perplexity, Puzzled Proper, Shelving, or Cycle Time.
